(5) Emily Kame Kngwarreye (Australian, 1910-1996) "Body Stripes", set of (5) paintings, acrylic on canvas, 48" x 36" each, very good condition. Emily Kame Kngwarreye was one of Australia's most prominent Aboriginal artists. Her first foray into art was with the Women's Batik Group of the Utopia Region around 1977. About 10 years later, in her late 70's, she decided to create her own personal paintings in acrylic on canvas. Emily's work was immediately popular and highly sought after by collectors and dealers all over the world. A prolific painter, she created a large body of work in her short career.
