A high relief cameo brooch with the portrait of MAGO. A Carthaginian general, depicted with DIONYSIUS, tyrant of Syracuse, whom he defeated. Rendered in the same manner as the flemish engraving by Theodoor Galle C.1600, White opaque glass, framed by 18K twist frame, can be worn as a pendant. The condition is generally good. The needle is slightly bent out of shape, as is the bail hook, there is oxidation and minor chips on the back that do not affect the piece at all. General wear, no major flaws to note.
